Zoe Grice - Resident Artist
Zoe is a professional artist / designer and is a permanent exhibitor in this gallery. Born in Yorkshire now living in North East Scotland, she has been drawing and painting since childhood and studied Art & Design into further education.
Her artwork is inspired colours, shape and different light found in nature. Zoe produces mostly landscapes and has a particular passion for trees. Zoe has has over 200 original paintings for sale and also offers limited edition prints of some of her work.

Rachel Ashton - Visiting Artist
Rachel was born in Dumfries, Scotland in 1976, completed an NC in Art and Design at Glasgow College of Building and Printing in 1994. She ran Northern Eye Gallery in Fife between 2002 and 2006 and now lives near Huntly in Aberdeenshire, on an off-grid Croft.
Her work as a painter, singer-songwriter and socially engaged artist, is inspired by her surroundings in the North East of Scotland and by her pacifist, political, feminist, environmental, holistic and psychological concerns.
Rachel has just finished a year-long residency at Deveron Projects in Huntly, where she collaborated digitally with Palestinian artist, May Murad, based in Gaza, on the project Walking Without Walls in which they shared landscapes, medicinal weeds and political walking. Their project culminated in the 2018 Slow Marathon in April and the accompanying paintings and plant journals are exhibited in the Ethical Gift Shop, Huntly. The project was presented as part of the Tate Exchange programme in May 2018 and at the Edinburgh Arts Festival in August 2018.

Pablo Picasso - Spanish painter, born 1881 in Malaga. Died April 1973 in France. Probably the most important figure of 20th century, in terms of art, and art movements that occurred over this period.
Throughout the long course of his career, he created more than 20,000 paintings, drawings, sculptures, ceramics and other items such as costumes and theatre sets. He is universally renowned as one of the most influential and celebrated artists of the twentieth century.
